Portrait of Susan DeGennaro

About Susan

Susan DeGennaro is a Fountain Hills resident of seven years and has one adult son with her late husband. Having traveled and lived across the U.S. for work, she recognized the unique community atmosphere of Fountain Hills and decided to put down roots.

Susan is a software engineer and technical trainer specializing in Machine Learning and Generative Artificial Intelligence. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University and a Master of Education from Rutgers University. Her career began in public sector finance and school administration, where she became the default technologist, training staff on a wide variety of applications. She later transitioned into Information Technology and built a successful career in technical education, eventually launching her own technology company, giving her the flexibility to work with the latest technologies and the top companies using them. Solving complex problems and helping others learn is what she does best.

Raised by a teacher and a physician, Susan values hard work and service. She has long been active in her community, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, donating blood, and supporting local food banks. She believes in listening to all voices and making thoughtful decisions that benefit the entire community.
